the balance and co-ordination problems you mention here would be balanced out by Bush's remarkable clumbsiness, falling off sofas, crashing his bicycle, tripping over, being the first person and apparently only person in the world who managed to overturn a Segway scooter.

Altz would certainly explain a lot about his behaviour and increasingly bizarre, repetitive and non-sensical interviews and press conferences.

Bush was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's Syndrome, in an early stage. His clear declines in mental functioning and verbal abilities are obvious over the past 14 years, since he first ran for governor of Texas. He no longer appears in public running and riding bicycles due to problems with balance and coordination, although I wouldn't count out a few staged public displays of physical fitness as questions begin to arise.

It's hard not to imagine something close to anarchy gripping the United States if Bush orders more troops into Iraq and the US Army mutinees, with the backing of most Americans.

While my friends have talked endlessly about the horrors of the Iraq War this year, I kept telling them : "You ain't seen nothing yet."

It's going to get a whole lot worse in Iraq for the US before it gets a whole lot better.
